Fri, September 18, 2009 - 11:47 PMAlpert/Ram dass has always been a marvelous manipulator, different from Leary's model of manipulating--IMO, they--and the third one of their trinity or triad, Ralph Metzner is not that often recognized for the shining light he has been! -

Re: Ram Dass
Sat, September 19, 2009 - 7:15 AMRichard Alpert is fully enlightened now as Ram Dass and Timithy Leary was not - BIG difference and you are all pointing it out, more or less. Love Leary too, though -

Wed, September 23, 2009 - 12:09 AMRam Dass now lives here on Maui...
Although he had a stroke a while back, he is still involved with a group called Doorway into Light that helps those dealing with Death and the the dying process..
www.doorwayintolight.org
I've met him one time and he did seem like a very special person...and i love his books and a DVD he made called Ecstatic States, in which he explains some of the impacts his use of LSD and other substances had on his spiritual development...Good stuff.
